Septentriones runs a small, family-oriented VDH/FCI breeding program for Dansk-Svensk Gårdshund in Flensburg. The dogs live in the house and garden and are naturally integrated into everyday life, whether on outings, trips or during quiet hours at home. Breeding is deliberately carried out exclusively with long-tailed dogs. Health, genetic diversity and a friendly, confident temperament shape the breeding plans. Among other things, the breeding dogs are examined for hip dysplasia, patellar luxation and several genetic factors. Pedigree, degree of relatedness, health data and information about offspring are carefully taken into account in the decisions. The puppies grow up in the house in close contact with the family and become familiar with different people, sounds, surfaces, car rides and their first outings. Their development is individually supported so that they can move into their new home curious and well prepared. Even after they leave, the breeder offers long-term support with questions about development, training and health.
