Røgild's

Røgild's in Kjellerup has around three decades of experience with dog breeding. The breeding began with Parson Russell Terrier in 1997 and has focused on Stabyhoun since 2007. Today, the kennel's breeding work is focused on the breed and on several different female lines, including both black and brown dogs. The breeding work is aimed at the breed's future, with particular attention to a low inbreeding percentage, health and genetic variation. Røgild's seeks combinations that avoid bringing together known health challenges, and often uses male dogs from abroad that have not previously been used in Denmark. The breeding operation has completed the DKK breeder education and DKK masterclass. At a small farm, dogs and puppies have room to use their noses and experience everyday life. The puppies are socialised in a home environment and encounter activities both indoors and outdoors, play areas and visits from children. The goal is to give them a safe and versatile start before moving to their new homes.
