Of Red Lion Hunter is a private hobby kennel for Rhodesian Ridgebacks in Gößweinstein in Franconian Switzerland. The focus is on breeding healthy, even-tempered dogs that conform to the breed standard. The kennel is affiliated with the European Cynological Union (EKU); the parent dogs have demonstrated their breeding suitability there. The dogs live as family members in their own pack. The puppies grow up in the house and garden together with children and cats. They are familiarized early with noises and everyday situations, carefully socialized, fed a high-quality diet and regularly cared for by a veterinarian. From the ninth week onwards, the puppies are given away vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed several times; an EU pet passport and an EKU pedigree certificate are included. The kennel places them only in responsible homes and contractually excludes kennel or chain keeping. It also advises the new owners afterwards.
