Northwoods Golden Golden Retriever breeder in Holstebro · Denmark

Northwoods Golden is a dog breeder in Holstebro focusing on Golden Retrievers from hunting lines. The breeder highlights the breed’s good temperament and breeds dogs that can participate in both hunting and other training. At the same time, emphasis is placed on the puppies becoming well-functioning family dogs. The breeder has completed DKK's breeder education. The puppies grow up in homely surroundings in the living room, where they get a secure start in life. Socialisation includes, among other things, car rides and meetings with both older people and children. They are also introduced to different environments, including pedestrian streets and the beach, so they can encounter new impressions at a calm pace. As part of the early training, the puppies practise recall to a whistle signal. This introduction supports the breeder’s focus on dogs with useful qualities, regardless of whether they will later be actively used for hunting, training or as part of the family.
