Nordfjord

Nordfjord in Kolding breeds Labrador Retriever of the Form 1 type. The breeding is based on prize-winning hunting dogs with English lines, and the puppies come from parents with excellent genes. The breeder has completed DKK's breeder education and places emphasis on a solid foundation for both hunting and family dogs. During the first weeks, the puppies grow up in a home environment with close, daily human contact. They are introduced early to birds and cloven-hoofed game, become accustomed to children and take part in ordinary family life. Later, they get daily outings on grass, which provide stimulation and support the first steps towards house-training. Before the puppies move, they are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, microchipped and registered with DKK. Nordfjord describes the breed as eager to learn and motivated for ordinary obedience and retrieving, also for families without an interest in hunting. The breeder offers guidance on, among other things, food, vaccinations, exercise and the initial training.
