Kennel Morton in Frederiksværk has worked with golden retrievers since 1994 and is based on experience with the breed dating back to 1988. The breeding focuses on golden retrievers from working lines and has completed DKK’s breeder education as well as DKK masterclass. The dogs take part in ongoing training, field trials and occasional hunting, giving the breeding a practical insight into the breed’s willingness to work. Kennel Morton aims to breed dogs that are suitable for active families and can thrive with, for example, hunting, obedience or agility. In the breeding work, breed-typical qualities, a stable temperament, health and good working abilities are prioritised. The goal is for each golden retriever to have an active everyday life with meaningful tasks and activities that match the dog’s needs.
