Memeni Lhasa Apso breeder in Jelling · Denmark

Memeni is a Lhasa Apso kennel based in Jelling. Interest in the breed began in 2003, and since then the dogs have had a central place in the kennel’s everyday life. Lhasa Apso are described as social and happy dogs that thrive in a life close to nature, with lakes and forest as part of their surroundings. The kennel has completed DKK's breeder education and the legally required dog keeper training. The courses support a responsible approach to breeding, where both the dogs’ well-being and the breed’s characteristics are given great importance. Health and temperament are the decisive priorities at Memeni. Only dogs considered completely healthy are bred, and umbilical hernias, kinked tails and dewclaws are not part of the breeding programme. Although these conditions are not always regarded as faults, the kennel does not wish to pass them on. A stable, happy temperament in Lhasa Apso is considered at least equally important.
