Fu-Kao

Fu-Kao is a small Lhasa Apso kennel in Store Heddinge. The name can be translated as Buddha’s little dog, and the kennel currently has seven dogs of the breed. The breeding is run as a leisure interest rather than as a full-time occupation, with the dogs as a central part of everyday life. The dogs live indoors and are both companion dogs and show dogs. Fu-Kao places emphasis on the breed’s original character and considers a clear type particularly important. The shows are used not only to present the dogs, but also to exchange experiences and gain inspiration for future breeding work. Normally, only one or two litters are born each year, and a litter is planned when the kennel itself wishes to keep a puppy from a selected combination. Fu-Kao has completed DKK's breeder education and works carefully with the limited number of litters.
