Macushla Macree

Kennel Macushla Macree is a small home-based breeding kennel of Welsh Corgi Cardigan in Sakskøbing. The breeding programme has completed DKK’s breeder education and places emphasis on breed type, health and a stable temperament. The dogs are actively included in everyday life and are presented at shows both in Denmark and abroad. The dogs are trained, among other things, in tracking, nose work, biathlon, canicross, trekking and body control. The kennel prioritises reward-based ring training with loose leads and without methods that cause discomfort. The breeding dogs are carefully selected with a focus on temperament, function and breed standard, and are examined by X-ray of joints and spine and with relevant DNA tests. Puppies grow up in home surroundings and receive eight weeks of targeted stimulation and socialisation before moving. The kennel works to find secure, suitable homes and follows the puppies also after the transfer. Welsh Corgi Cardigan is described as a loyal and eager-to-work herding dog whose physical and mental needs must be met.
