Lucina Maine Coons Maine Coon breeder in Bremen Germany

Lucina is a small, outcross-oriented Maine Coon cattery in Bremen that incorporates foundation lines and rare older show lines and tests its cats for hereditary diseases.

Lucina is a small, lovingly run Maine Coon cattery in Bremen in northern Germany. Its approach combines a manageable breeding program with the aim of taking genetic diversity within the breed into account. The cattery is outcross-oriented and partially incorporates new foundation lines into its planning. Less common ancestries and rare older show lines are also taken into consideration. Lucina thus deliberately focuses on lines that are not already particularly widely represented. Health examinations are also part of the breeding program. The cats are tested for HCM, PKD, HD, PL and SMA. The focus is therefore on hereditary diseases and findings affecting the heart, kidneys, hips, kneecaps and musculature, which contribute to the health assessment of the breeding cats.
