Llandderfel Border Collie breeder in Weissenstein · Austria

Llandderfel is a Border Collie breeding establishment in Weißenstein, based on working with dogs among livestock. The fascination with the practical use of these herding dogs has existed for a long time. As the flock of sheep grew, so did the number of Border Collies, meaning that the dogs are closely involved in working with the sheep. Puppies are only available from Llandderfel occasionally. A litter is planned when a young dog is needed again for their own work. The breeding programme is therefore directly guided by the need for another working dog and does not take place regularly. Herding dog competitions are also part of the breeding environment and bring great joy. At such competitions, it is possible to observe what Border Collies can achieve with livestock. Their work on the alpine pasture is equally important, where the dogs’ abilities become visible under practical conditions.
