Lewanika

Kennel Lewanika is a small family kennel with Rhodesian Ridgebacks. The kennel name is inspired by stays in the area of Zambia now called Western Province, where the family’s first Ridgeback from Zimbabwe arrived in 1992. Since then, the breed has been a constant focal point of the kennel’s life with dogs. Behind the kennel is a family with many years of experience with Rhodesian Ridgebacks, both through their own dogs and experience with other dogs of the breed. The kennel highlights the breed’s distinctive character and the great fascination it can arouse in people who get to know it. Both responsible persons have completed DKK’s breeder education. Every litter at Kennel Lewanika is carefully prepared. When there are puppies at the kennel, they receive the family’s full time and attention. Therefore, there are often longer breaks between litters, so there can be room for the effort and care that the puppies require during their first time.
