Skovly Gundogs

Skovly Gundogs has been breeding dogs since 2003 and has held a DKK kennel name since 2017. The breeding programme includes bullmastiffs and F1 Labradors, with the goal of producing breed-typical dogs, where health and temperament are given high priority. The kennel has also completed the DKK breeder education programme. The kennel’s Labradors are actively used for hunting, and working ability is therefore an important element of the breeding work. At the same time, emphasis is placed on the dogs being able to thrive calmly in the home. The balance between activity, ability to cooperate and the ability to relax characterises the kennel’s approach to the breed. For the bullmastiffs, health is assessed from a broad and long-term perspective. Skovly Gundogs considers, among other things, the lifespan in the lines used in breeding and prioritises robust dogs throughout their lives. Breed type, temperament, function and health are thus brought together in the work with both breeds.
