Kennel Lothbroks

Kennel Lothbroks in Pleckhausen is establishing a small hobby breeding program for French Bulldogs, with health at its centre. The breeding females are examined for breed-specific diseases, including hemivertebrae, hip and elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation, osteochondrosis and eye diseases. The findings can be viewed during a visit. For the selection of breeding animals, in addition to the health requirements, a balanced temperament and a harmonious appearance are also important. The female’s DNA is on file, and a dilution test is also available; the same standards apply to the stud dog. The aim is to breed mobile, friendly and free-breathing Bulldogs that integrate well into their new families. At most one litter per year is planned, while double matings are ruled out. The mother and puppies grow up in the living room and receive close veterinary care as well as support from a breed club. Kennel housing is not planned; former breeding females also remain in their familiar home.
