Kennel juppsguard

Kennel juppsguard breeds maremmano-abruzzese dogs in Järvenpää. The breeding work is based on 26 years of experience with the breed and 17 litters bred. The breeder has imported over 20 dogs from Italy from several different breeders, which also brings a perspective related to the breed’s country of origin. The breeding programme emphasises the breed’s balanced temperament as well as a healthy structure suitable for working. These qualities are considered important in terms of the maremmano-abruzzese’s traditional purpose. The aim is to preserve the breed’s characteristic traits, relying on experience and long-term breeding work. The maremmano-abruzzese is a breed used for guarding flocks of sheep and other animals, as well as home territories.
