The Irish Power Game’s kennel is based in Hambühren in Lower Saxony and is dedicated to the Irish Red Setter. Enthusiasm for these red setters has existed since childhood; the first litter under the kennel name Power Game’s was born in 1985. The kennel is affiliated with the Verein für Pointer und Setter e.V. The focus is on hunting dogs with pronounced passion and reliable handling. The aims are health, enthusiasm for work, a well-established temperament, performance ability and orientation towards the breed standard. Search style and pointing ability are particularly valued, as are willingness to retrieve, enthusiasm for water, speed and endurance. Hunting work has shaped the kennel for many years. Professional experience from holding a hunting licence, as well as work as an association and specialist performance judge for English pointing dogs, informs the selection. Puppies are occasionally available; as they are often reserved at birth, an early enquiry is advisable.
