Havachoise

Havachoise is a small home-based breeding program of Bichon Frise in Silkeborg, focusing on healthy, curious and affectionate family dogs. The breeding program has DKK's breeder education and follows the breeding recommendations from DKK and KSS. The parent dogs undergo conformation assessment and are examined for patellar luxation and eye diseases. The puppies receive a DKK Basis Plus pedigree and are sold with DKK's purchase agreement. Before moving, they undergo a health examination, are vaccinated at eight weeks and treated for worms. They are also microchipped and registered in Dansk Hunderegister. They grow up in the home's living room, where the puppies encounter ordinary sounds and receive thorough socialisation and environmental training. They are calmly introduced to voluntary handling, coat care on a grooming table and nail clipping. From day 3 to 16, they undergo a biosensor programme with mild neurological stimulation, and at around seven weeks of age they are assessed through a mental puppy test with a behaviour consultant.
