Fairyglen has been breeding Shetland Sheepdogs, also known as Shelties, in Wolfenbüttel since 2013. The breeding programme belongs to the Club für Britische Hütehunde e.V. in the Lower Saxony regional group. The foundation was laid by several bitches from an existing Sheltie line; in the founding year, additional bitches joined and expanded the breeding base.
Over the years, the breeding line has been carefully continued. A daughter bitch born in 2016 from this line had already been involved in raising two litters. In this way, Fairyglen further developed its breeding programme with bitches from different generations and gained experience in raising Sheltie puppies.
Fairyglen's goal is healthy, sound-tempered Shetland Sheepdogs that are suitable as family dogs and conform to the British breed standard. In addition to a balanced temperament and health, importance is also placed on an appealing appearance. It is particularly gratifying for the breeding programme when dogs from the breeding programme are later shown at exhibitions or competed with in agility.
