Eimunas Norwegian Buhund breeder in Vig · Denmark

Eimunas is a dog breeding kennel in Vig with Norwegian Buhunds and Mittelspitz. The goal is breed-typical dogs that are healthy both physically and mentally and have a good temperament. The breeding programme includes dogs that have been assessed at shows with at least Very Good or Excellent, so movement and conformation are included in the evaluation. The breeding dogs are examined for conditions relevant to the breed. The Mittelspitz are tested for eye diseases and patellar luxation, while the Norwegian Buhunds are tested for HD, AD and eye diseases, as well as often patellar luxation. Emphasis is also placed on genetic variation by limiting closely related matings and the overuse of individual breeding dogs. With DKK breeder education and experience in mental descriptions, dog training and various dog sports, the kennel maintains its professional knowledge. The puppies grow up in a home environment where socialisation and environmental training are prioritised. New owners are advised on a calm settling-in period and gradual acclimatisation to being home alone.
