Kennel Drumbeat in Slangerup breeds typical Labrador Retrievers with an emphasis on happy, well-functioning family dogs. The goal is dogs that thrive both in the home and can participate in field trials, practical hunting and shows. The breeding takes place on a country property in North Zealand with its own fields, forest and lake, providing good conditions for activity and training. Health is a central criterion in the breeding. The breeding dogs have been X-rayed and are free from hip dysplasia and elbow arthrosis, have had eye examinations without remarks and are genetically free from PRA. The kennel has completed the Danish Kennel Club’s breeder education and was named Labrador Breeder of the Year by the Danish Retriever Club in 2013. The puppies move to their new homes after veterinary examination, microchipping and vaccination, with a pedigree, health book and care instructions. Drumbeat also offers puppy training and boarding for dogs from its own breeding.
