di CASTELLETTO Chartreux breeder in Genoa · Italy

I Certosini di Castelletto is a family-run cattery breeding Chartreux cats in Genoa. The «di Castelletto» affix, recognized by ANFI, is registered to Antonietta (Titti) and Fabrizio, who completed the Master for Feline Breeders organized by ANFI and ANMVI in 2016. Fabrizio has also been a member of the FIFe CHA (Chartreux) Breed Council since 2020. The cattery is affiliated with ANFI and the Club du Chat des Chartreux. We breed only Chartreux, with attention to health, temperament and adherence to the FIFe standard. All our cats are tested for FIV and FeLV. We apply stricter rules than those required by regulations. The first litter is not born before 18 months of age, and each queen has a maximum of 5 litters in her lifetime. Inbreeding remains below 2% over five generations. We do not perform any mutilation. Cats retired from breeding are sterilized and remain with us or go to a family as companion cats. Kittens are placed at 14 weeks with an ANFI pedigree, microchip, registration with the Liguria ASL registry and two trivalent RPC vaccinations plus one FeLV vaccination. At 4 months, they need the third RPC and second FeLV vaccinations. For abroad, placement takes place at 4 months, with a European Passport and Traces-NT. We have placed kittens in Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
