CANE D’ACQUA

The FCI-, VDH- and LRWD-e.V. kennel CANE D’ACQUA is dedicated to the Lagotto Romagnolo in Saxony-Anhalt near the Thuringian border. The kennel name, whose Italian meaning is water dog, has been used since 2016. The kennel is a member of Lagotto Romagnolo Wasserhunde Deutschland e.V. The breeding background includes training in the shepherd profession in Erfurt and Wettin as well as studies in animal breeding. Activities in animal breeding and sheep production complement this foundation. After experience with German Shepherd Dogs and Yorkshire Terriers, the VDH/FCI breeding began in 2009; previously, a different kennel name existed. CANE D’ACQUA describes the Lagotto Romagnolo as a family-friendly, non-shedding dog. The breed is suitable for various sports, but not for protection dog work. Experience in a search-and-rescue dog unit in Weimar complements the breeding profile.
