Butterfly Love Continental Toy Spaniel breeder in Alkmaar · Netherlands

Butterfly Love is a dog breeder in Alkmaar, certified by the Raad van Beheer. It focuses on the Continental Toy Spaniel and describes a small-scale breeding program for Papillons. In 2024, its first litter was raised, following many years of experience with dogs, dog sports and the occasional show. The selection of breeding stock at Butterfly Love considers breed-typical traits, relatedness, health and temperament. DNA testing and examinations through ECVO and PL are part of the preparation. The breeding program plans one to two litters per year and aims to gradually establish its own line. The puppies grow up in the living room, in the midst of everyday household life. They leave with a pedigree, vaccination passport, information document and puppy package. This includes, among other things, food for the initial period, toys, snacks and a cloth carrying the scent of the litter to support the transition to their new environment.
