Altdeutsche Schäferhunde vom Rabenhorst Altdeutscher Schäferhund breeder in Kleinblittersdorf · Germany

Altdeutsche Schäferhunde vom Rabenhorst is a breeding establishment for Altdeutsche Schäferhunde in Kleinblittersdorf in Saarland that is still being developed. The focus is on preserving this type of dog in its original form. The breeding program is guided by health, a stable temperament and a straight back line. The Altdeutsche Schäferhund is understood here as a versatile working dog that is close to the Stockhaarschäferhund in its possible uses. Dog sports as well as duties as a guard, protection or rescue dog are mentioned. At the same time, with suitable handling, it can find its place as a family dog. As a strong-willed dog, the breed, according to the breeding establishment, needs clear guidance and solid obedience training, including in the family environment. Especially from the beginning, the training is intended to prevent a puppy from being given too much freedom and later developing difficult-to-control, dominant behaviours.
