The kennel vom Haus-Barrett in Groß-Rohrheim has been breeding long-haired German Shepherd Dogs since 1996, which are also called Old German Shepherd Dogs. The focus is on health, intelligence, steadiness of temperament, expression, and a strong reddish-brown pigmentation; at the same time, working suitability is to be preserved.
The dogs are part of the family. Puppies get to know everyday life early and also encounter other animals, including horses. Species-appropriate keeping, well-being, and balance form the basis for their development. During selection, the already recognizable character traits of each puppy are explained.
Vom Haus-Barrett supports the owners throughout the dog’s entire life and organizes annual get-togethers. A transparent online insight documents puppies and descendants from around 30 years. The kennel shares knowledge about the versatile breed and is a member of the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V.
