Allevamento del giardino degli Elfi

The Allevamento del giardino degli Elfi, based in Castelnuovo Don Bosco, is dedicated to the breeding of Chihuahuas. The project took shape through experience with the first specimen of the breed and the attention aroused by its marked sociability. The breeding programme gives a central role to temperament, without separating it from conformity to the breed standard. The selection focuses in particular on the Chihuahua’s ability to interact both with its own kind and with individuals of different species. The puppies are raised with affection and receive careful socialisation. The objective of the Allevamento del giardino degli Elfi is to continue breeding Chihuahuas selected not only for the characteristics required by the standard, but also for the relational qualities that inspired the beginning of the activity.
