Æblevangen

Kennel Æblevangen has been breeding Gordon Setter and Irish Red Setter since 1980. The breeding is based on many years of experience with the characteristics of the setter breeds and continues to focus on dogs suited to the breeds’ purpose and distinctive traits. The aim is to breed setters with a stable and pleasant temperament as well as good trainability. Hunting abilities are also an important element of the breeding work, so the dogs’ instincts and willingness to work are preserved. Emphasis is also placed on conformation, so that the dogs closely follow the breed standard. Kennel Æblevangen is a trained DKK breeder and has a focused approach to breeding, especially Irish Red Setter, where temperament, functional qualities and breed type are considered together.
