On a daily basis, it is advisable to monitor the quality of the gait, the appearance of joint discomfort, as well as any unusual digestive sign after meals. As with many large dogs, prevention involves well-managed growth, appropriate exercise and good meal management.

Puppies receive their initial Majorca Shepherd Dog vaccinations in several shots spaced 4 weeks apart, followed by a first booster at 1 year. Depending on their lifestyle (hunting, hiking, boarding, travel, region), your veterinarian may add vaccines against Rabies, Kennel cough, Piroplasmosis, Lyme disease and Leishmaniasis.
