A declared and transparent breeder must present the living conditions, identification, health documents, the pedigree when the puppy is registered with the LOF and the screening results of the breeding dogs. Adoption through an association is also possible, especially for an adult.

What about once they're home?
A price that seems too good to be true?
- An abnormally low price may conceal a lack of screening, socialization, or health monitoring.
- The parents' hip and elbow screening results must be available for consultation before purchase.
- The puppy must be identified and accompanied by the required legal and health documents.
- The breed's large size entails a sustainably high budget for food, care, and accessories.
