Zwinger vom Kastanjenboom

The vom Kastanjenboom kennel is dedicated to the Small Münsterländer in Bad Lauterberg in the Harz. The connection to this breed began as early as 1981 with the first dog and became the starting point for many years of involvement with the versatile hunting dog. Since then, its qualities, its trainability and its work in the hunting grounds have shaped the direction of the breeding program. Hunting work occupies an important place. Experiences from training and trials with the Small Münsterländer are incorporated into the keeping of the dogs, as is the appreciation of hunting. The kennel is affiliated with the Verband für Kleine Münsterländer e.V. and focuses on dogs that can demonstrate their breed-typical abilities in a hunting environment. The Small Münsterländers are firmly integrated into the kennel’s everyday life: They accompany activities related to work, leisure and holidays and are valued partners, especially when hunting. This places a close, everyday relationship with the dogs at the center, combined with the joy of their work and their presence in the hunting grounds.
