zum Guten Mann

The zum Guten Mann kennel is located in Kettig near Koblenz and is dedicated to the Belgian Shepherd Dog Groenendael. The dogs live as family dogs in the house and accompany everyday life, including camping in the surrounding area. Running and hiking are an integral part of life together; with older dogs, the family regularly took part in competitions, including marathon, ultra and multi-day races. As a small private kennel, the breeding program places great importance on close rearing. The puppies are born in the living room and spend their first time in the immediate family environment. After about three to four weeks, they also have access to a garden house with access to the garden, allowing them to explore their surroundings step by step. During their puppyhood, the young Groenendael also get to know cats, chickens and goats. Various sounds, surfaces and everyday objects are intended to become familiar to them early on and support a confident start in their new home. Litter diaries continuously document the development of the litters. The breeding program is affiliated with Belgische Schäferhunde Deutschland e.V.
