Wild Emerald’s has been dedicated to the hobby breeding of Gordon Setters in Bochum for more than three decades. A formative encounter with a representative of the breed in 1993 established this long-standing bond. The breeding program follows the guidelines of the Verein für Pointer und Setter e.V. and places harmonious coexistence between people and dogs at the center. Particular emphasis is placed on transparent breeding planning. This includes health checks of the parent dogs for HD, ED and PRArcd4, as well as the careful raising of the puppies. Getting to know the breeding facility, the dogs and the future owners also forms part of Wild Emerald’s approach. The adult Gordon Setters live in the house, garden and family environment. The puppies are intended to develop into loyal family members and can later be engaged in a variety of activities, for example as therapy or visiting dogs, in mantrailing, agility, dummy training, sport or hunting. Above all, the breed values being close to its people.
