The Welsh Terrier breeding program von Goldschmieding in Castrop-Rauxel has been dedicated to breeding this breed on a small scale for around three decades. The kennel is affiliated with the Klub für Terrier von 1894 e.V. and places particular emphasis on making health and a balanced temperament the focus in its breeding dogs. The dogs live as part of everyday family life in the household; there is no traditional kennel housing. Even after the end of their breeding careers, the bitches remain with the family and spend the rest of their lives there. The bitches Branda Lee and Frieda currently belong to the household. A second litter is planned for Frieda, who lives as a breeding bitch, towards the end of 2025 or at the beginning of 2026. A litter is raised in the home family environment. The kennel thus describes a family-oriented approach in which the dogs permanently belong to the family.
