von der Oberen Donau Shetland Sheepdog breeder in Tuttlingen · Germany

The kennel von der Oberen Donau in Tuttlingen is dedicated to the Shetland Sheepdog, also known as the Sheltie. Experience with this peaceful, attentive and eager-to-learn herding breed dates back to 2008. The focus is on raising even-tempered dogs with a genetically diverse foundation. In addition to the dogs, the home environment includes cats, rabbits, chickens and horses. This allows the Shelties to experience various animals and everyday situations. Sounds from the surroundings, including shots from the nearby shooting club, also help the dogs become accustomed to different acoustic stimuli. As Shelties are considered particularly intelligent herding dogs, the kennel places value on exercise as well as mental tasks. Learning tricks and good responsiveness are important components of their activities. Dog sports such as agility combine physical activity with focused mental work. The kennel is associated with the Shetland Sheepdog Club Deutschland e.V.
