The hobby breeding program von der Liebfrauenheide is dedicated to Bernese Mountain Dogs. From the long-standing connection with this breed, the decision to breed dogs themselves was made in 2000. The focus is on patient, loving care of the dogs and careful raising of their offspring. The puppies spend their first weeks of life in the house. During the total of nine weeks in the breeding program, they are gradually familiarized with their surroundings and various everyday experiences. The preparation is guided by the respective stage of development of the young dogs and is intended to give them a good start. The young Bernese Mountain Dogs grow up in the pack and thereby experience regular contact with people as well as with other dogs. This is intended to support confident, varied socialization. Von der Liebfrauenheide is affiliated with the Deutscher Club für Berner Sennenhunde e.V. and is available to answer questions about breeding.
