The breeding kennel Von den wilden Ossis in Ivenack is dedicated to the Old German Shepherd Dog. The wish to live with a German Shepherd Dog had existed since childhood. After the appropriate conditions had been created in 2011, the first Shepherd Dog moved in and marked the beginning of an intensive involvement with this breed. From the initial enthusiasm, a deeper interest in the training, origins and genetics of the German Shepherd Dog developed. The dogs known as “Ossis” particularly fascinated the kennel. In 2015, another Shepherd Dog was added and reinforced the decision to establish its own breeding program. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the kennel found the space needed to put this long-cherished plan into practice. Von den wilden Ossis is affiliated with the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V. and places the Old German Shepherd Dog at the center of its breeding focus.
