vom Pleissengrund Airedale Terrier breeder in Werdau · Germany

The vom Pleissengrund kennel in Werdau is dedicated to the Airedale Terrier and pursues the goal of further developing this breed in its tradition as an active, versatile dog. A sound temperament, intelligence, diverse abilities and a breed-typical appearance guide the selection. The breeding program follows the breed standard and is affiliated with the Klub für Terrier von 1894 e.V. Health is at the heart of the breeding plan. Parent dogs with very good X-ray results for hips and elbows, as well as genetic examinations for hereditary eye diseases, are taken into consideration. This is intended to support physical resilience, sustained performance and balanced, socially compatible behaviour. Vom Pleissengrund carefully assesses suitable breeding partners and maintains open communication with the owners of the stud dogs. The inbreeding coefficient of a planned mating is also taken into account. Keeping inbreeding as low as possible is an important concern in order to reduce the risk of hereditary diseases and breed robust Airedale Terriers.
