vom Oefter Wald Hovawart breeder in Norden Germany

Vom Oefter Wald is a Hovawart breeding kennel in Norden, founded on many years of experience with dogs and a great enthusiasm for the breed.

The Hovawart breeding kennel vom Oefter Wald is dedicated to the Hovawart and is now based in Norden in East Frisia. Its name recalls the family’s beginnings in the Essen-Kettwig area, near the Oefter Wald. The first litter was raised there before the breeding kennel found its new location in East Frisia. At the centre is a black-and-tan Hovawart bitch who lives in a household with several generations. The lively family life offers her many social contacts and activities. The family’s experience with dogs goes back several generations; in addition, the bitch was regularly accompanied at the dog school and in the Hovawart Club. The breeding kennel arose from an intensive examination of the characteristics of various dog breeds and a particular enthusiasm for the Hovawart. Vom Oefter Wald wishes to present this versatile breed and breed it responsibly. The breeding kennel is affiliated with the Hovawart Zuchtgemeinschaft Deutschland e.V.
