vom Midlicher Land

The vom Midlicher Land kennel in Rosendahl has been dedicated to the Old German Shepherd Dog for nearly three decades. The breeding program does not pursue a commercial approach, but instead focuses on a small number of carefully planned litters. Health and the working ability of the breed form the essential foundations of the work. Dogs produced by the kennel demonstrate a broad range of possible applications. Among other things, they have been trained for protection work and tracking, and have also participated in agility, mantrailing and search-and-rescue work. Thus, the versatile character of the Old German Shepherd Dog is at the center. Dogs from the kennel have also been deployed by the police, customs and the Federal Border Guard. Further fields of activity range from therapy dogs to family protection dogs. The kennel is affiliated with the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V. and may possibly plan a final litter for summer or autumn 2024.
