The Chihuahua kennel vom Land der lichten Weiten in Hendungen has been dedicated to raising Chihuahuas since 1986. At the end of 2008, the bitch Sternchen gave birth to six puppies; according to the kennel’s presentation, the mother and offspring were in good condition. From the end of February 2009, the young animals were to be placed with suitable, loving families. The puppies are born in the house and spend their first time within the pack. This allows them to experience everyday household life and grow up without being isolated. Before leaving, they become familiar with interacting with children as well as with large dogs. The young Chihuahuas are also introduced to a collar and leash at an early age. For placement, the puppies are described as vaccinated, dewormed several times, and provided with complete papers. The kennel thus places importance on family-based rearing and a prepared handover of the Chihuahua puppies.
