The vom Kanzachtal cattery in Schwarme is dedicated to the Norwegian Forest Cat. The first offspring are expected in the 15th calendar week. The pairing is expected to produce a varied colour palette in male and female kittens, including black and red tabby, as well as tortie variants in female animals. Since both parent animals carry dilution, blue tabby and cream tabby may also occur in male kittens, as well as blue tortie and cream tabby in female kittens. The possible colour diversity of the litter therefore depends on the genetic traits of both animals and includes both tabby patterns and diluted colours. If the gene for non-agouti is additionally passed on through the male, solid-coloured-looking kittens are also possible. In male kittens, these include black, blue, cream and red; in female kittens, black tortie, blue tortie, cream and red.
