The Teckelzucht vom Kaiserdom in Speyer is dedicated to raising Dachshunds in a family environment. The beginning of the breeding program dates back to a litter in April 2012, which fulfilled the family’s long-held wish to establish its own Dachshund breeding program. The kennel is affiliated with the Deutscher Teckelklub e.V. The puppies grow up in the house and as part of everyday family life. During their first twelve weeks of life, they experience the usual routines of living together and are gently introduced to their future daily lives. Loving care is at the heart of their early development. The young Dachshunds also gain their first impressions outside the house. Excursions in the surroundings of Speyer Cathedral help them gradually become familiar with new situations. In this way, the breeding program combines close family rearing with early preparation for life outside their familiar home.
