vom Horren

The vom Horren kennel in Dennweiler-Frohnbach has been devoted to Schnauzers for many decades. Breeding began in 1995 with Miniature Schnauzers and was expanded from 2000 to include black Giant Schnauzers. Giant Schnauzers have shaped family life since 1991 and remain particularly central to it today. After several generations of their own Giant Schnauzers, breeding was temporarily suspended in 2012 for family reasons. This pause provided an opportunity to engage intensively with health issues, medical and scientific developments, and the breed standard. Experiences with another dog breed also confirmed the special bond with the Giant Schnauzer. Since 2017, vom Horren has continued breeding with renewed clarity. Experience from breeding, shows, club work, and training as a breed judge flows into the work. Health care, a careful eye for the standard, and the dogs’ temperament form important foundations. The kennel is affiliated with the Pinscher-Schnauzer-Klub e.V.
