vom Gohliser Schloesschen

The Dalmatian breeding program vom Gohliser Schlösschen in Könnern looks back on experience that began in 1998 with two Dalmatians deaf from birth. The dogs shaped the breeding establishment’s understanding of responsible care and communication through visual signals. Since the deafness was not to be passed on, both were deliberately not used for breeding. In 2013, a brown-and-white Dalmatian bitch joined the household. In order to develop its expertise further and maintain contact with other Dalmatian enthusiasts, the breeding establishment joined the Dalmatiner Zucht Gemeinschaft Deutschland e.V. in 2014. After phenotype assessment, a breeding approval examination and the required shows, the bitch received breeding approval. FCI kennel protection for the name „vom Gohliser Schlösschen“ was applied for through the association at the end of 2015. Puppies were born from two litters, suitable families were found for them, and contact with them has continued. A bitch from the breeding program passed her breeding approval examination in 2017; in 2019, a suitable male was selected for her for the C-litter.
