vom Butjadinger Land

The vom Butjadinger Land kennel has been dedicated to the Dogue de Bordeaux since 1994. Living together with these loving and gentle dogs is at the heart of its work. Since 2015, three Pugs have also been part of the household, and they get along very well with the Dogue de Bordeaux. The dog breeding program is regarded there as a demanding task that must be regularly reviewed and critically questioned. As the association responsible for maintaining the stud book, the Club für Molosser e.V. sets out regulations for healthy breeding. Nevertheless, genetic predispositions cannot be guaranteed. For breeding selection, vom Butjadinger Land therefore places importance on healthy, stable-natured and typey dogs. Since only a few reliable examination criteria have so far been available for Dogue de Bordeaux, the kennel emphasizes its particular responsibility. The aim is to improve the breed for the benefit of the dogs.
