The hobby breeding establishment vom Birkenhain is based in Boms and affiliated with the Verband Deutscher Kleinhundezüchter e.V. After previously breeding Landseers, the focus today is on Havanese; the last Landseer male has since died. The kennel has been protected since 2003. On a former farm in Upper Swabia, the dogs live together with other pets as well as horses and Greek tortoises. The extensive meadow grounds and garden offer varied impressions. The animals grow up in a harmonious environment and contribute to the puppies’ early acclimatization to different stimuli. The breeding program places particular emphasis on a stable temperament, careful training and comprehensive socialization. The puppies grow up in the house amid everyday family life and also get to know the garden and pastures. They are handed over with VDH papers and are regularly dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped. The dogs are also used during visits to schools and in educational projects.
