vom Altranstädter Schloß

The vom Altranstädter Schloß kennel is a Dobermann breeding kennel. It describes its breeding as being conducted under the guidelines of KYDD, VDH and FCI and refers to its activities since 2004. Its focus is the goal of producing healthy, long-lived dogs that conform to the breed standard. To support this goal, the kennel avoids inbreeding. At most one litter per year is planned; the bitches have an average of two litters in their lives, with at least one year between them. Cardiac examinations of the bitches are carried out regularly, and for the stud dogs too, the kennel pays attention to examined hearts as well as health and longevity in the lineage. The dogs live in the house and not in kennels. The puppies grow up within the pack and are prepared for living together in a household. The kennel thus places health, careful litter planning and family-based rearing at the forefront.
