Deutsche Doggen vom Altmühlerhof is a dog breeding establishment based in Alesheim that breeds Dobermanns. The path to breeding grew out of a long-standing closeness to dogs: dogs were part of family life from an early age and later remained a permanent part of living together. The enthusiasm for Great Danes in particular shaped the development of the kennel. When looking for a suitable dog, health and longevity were the main priorities. Through the experiences surrounding these gentle giants, the desire grew to channel their own passion into responsible breeding work. The establishment of the breeding program was guided by the requirements of recognized breeder status. A female dog successfully took part in shows and the licensing examination; examinations for hip dysplasia as well as regular DCM ultrasound checks were also part of it. The kennel is affiliated with the Kynologische Gesellschaft für Deutsche Doggen e.V.
