vom Alten Pfad Hovawart breeder in Dortmund · Germany

Vom Alten Pfad is a lovingly run Hovawart kennel in Dortmund and has belonged to the Rassezuchtverein für Hovawart-Hunde e.V. since 2014. Breeding takes place only occasionally, but with great care and a long-standing commitment to this breed. The dogs live as closely integrated family members and accompany everyday life as well as shared activities. The path to breeding led through many years of experience with dogs, training in the club, involvement in breed events and numerous further training courses, including seminars on breeding and genetics. Knowledge is continuously supplemented by current specialist information and new scientific findings. Health, a stable temperament and the longest possible lifespan of the Hovawarts are the focus. The breeding goal is medium-strong to strong Hovawarts with a confident character, which are easy to handle while retaining their breed-typical vigilance. The dogs are encouraged as family, leisure and sports partners; Obedience, competitive dog sports and search-and-rescue dog work also shape the breeding experience. The rearing is intended to support a sound, socially compatible development, and Vom Alten Pfad remains available to the families of the offspring as a contact.
