V.H. STAARTSCHE BOS Leonberger breeder in Huijbergen · Netherlands

V.H. STAARTSCHE BOS is a Leonberger kennel in Huijbergen, affiliated with the Raad van Beheer. As a hobby, a litter is bred only occasionally. On 15 November 2023, a litter was born that has been growing up in the living room since its first day. Socialization begins in the whelping box, where the puppies become accustomed to everyday stimuli. As they grow older, their world expands with new toys and outings to, among other places, a petting zoo, railway station and garden centre. Visits from young and old also provide plenty of positive human contact. The puppies are described as curious and enterprising. Here, the Leonberger is regarded as a calm, stable and people-oriented dog that is quiet indoors, enjoys cuddling and can become accustomed to children. Because of its substantial size, choosing this breed does require careful consideration.
